The LED status meter keeps track of the power level in your device, each accounting for 25 percent in energy. When all the 4 lights are lit, it is indication the external battery pack is fully charged.

iLounge tested the PhoneSuit Power Core Micro battery pack for iPhone 5 and concluded it delivered 166% charge to a smartphone fully drained, recharged and drained again, “a comparatively efficient use of the 3500mAh cell inside”. And it does all this in an ultra-compact form, which makes it easy to carry it around in a clutch or backpack. The flat rectangle device is almost the same width and depth as the iPhone 5, but shorter by almost two inches.

There are some caveats though. For instance, the output is 1A which works fine for the iPhone 5, but it will take it considerably longer to charge an iPad. The price might also feel a bit too much seeing as you’re not exactly getting the most slender and easy to carry around solution. But, all in all, the PhoneSuit Power Core Micro battery pack is one of the most impressive external batteries for iPhone 5 and could be the right accessory for you.
