If your new iPhone 5 still doesn’t have its own battery case, you might want to start considering investing in such a power product. Over the past few months, accessory products for iPhone 5 have become all the rage, giving iPhone 5 owners the extra battery power needed to help them extend their app and web browsing usage to double or even triple of what the standard 1440 mAh is capable.
The design of today’s battery cases for iPhone 5 is quite varied and increasingly functional, as users want aesthetics similar to Apple, durability, increased protection and extra battery life. The latest to join the current day offer is the Grip Power battery case, developed by Belkin for iPhone 5. It comes with a shock-resistant outer shell, anti-glare camera ring and a powerful 2000 mAh battery.

“Smartphone users are becoming increasingly dependent on their devices, and Belkin’s new Grip Power Battery Case for iPhone 5 provides the perfect solution for people who are constantly using their iPhone for apps, videos and browsing the web” reads a press release by Christopher Bodmer, Belkin product manager.
For the moment there isn’t all that much information available for Belkin’s new iPhone 5 battery case. The product sells for $99.99, which makes it $30 cheaper than the main rival, the Mophie 2100 mAh case. There are four color themes available for the product: civic blue/stone, purple lightning/fountain blue, blacktop/gravel and whiteout/blacktop.
Belkin hasn’t released the product dimensions but from the looks of it, it’s not bulkier than similarly-priced products. Your iPhone 5 will be slid into the battery pack and into the in-built Lightning connector, whereas the second part of the case, the outer shock-resistant bumper keeps everything in place securely. To charge the case, you will have to use a micro-USB charging cable.
We’ll publish the review for the Belkin Grip Power battery case for iPhone 5 as soon as it gets delivered.
